It was GM.
They didn't want to fund them because they didn't copy GM's cars exactly.

The CEO told that. The 9-5 was supposed to be an Opel Vectra, but Saab only shared the steering wheel and engine which caused the relationship to go rocky
then GM let them go, and they didn't have enough money, and where losing market to Volvo.

I still miss Saab. Saab 900 Turbo is one of my favorite European cars because it's so 80s.

GM told saab change the body and badge, but saab spent millions of GMs money changing well over 80% of the car, they couldnt work with fiat because saabs standards were too high for fiat. it wasnt GMs fault, it was saabs fault. they wouldnt listen to anyone, they blew through money like the US does, and they couldnt turn a profit at all because they ONLY cared about safety.

Top Gear did a 1988 BMw 3 series and a 1988 Saab 900. Raised them both upside down from a crane, and dropped them on their roofs.

BMW smashed like a a tomato. Looked like a pancake.

The Saab just absorbed everything and kinda sat there.

those big bumpers on the front of saabs could like take a truck head on. They where all about safety.

So good, that they passed the legal requirements for a roof frame, before really having one. But they had to install one anyways for law. Same with what starrk said about races.

Also love their early turbo cars said TURBO on the side.

I used to do this all the time.
Until I realized canadian cars are overpriced outside of the Ford Edge, Dodge Caravan, Chrysler 200, Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla

knowing how rare it is to find a better quality integra with mileage like that, i'd buy it.

integras are a curse, sadly the only vtecs other than the S2K that I like.

Integras are super nostalgic to me, but i mean every single one on the market has been crashed into, crashed by an idiot, ruined by being transformed into a ricer, or otherwise.

I just wanted a stock Integra 4-door. And put the coupe's spoiler on it.
