First gen was good since it started it all, but it had a lot of weird quirks and glitches that were fixed in FR/LG.. Which were 3rd Gen so.. 3rd Gen FTW

While Gen 3 is my favorite, Gen 4 does have a special spot in my heart.
It was my first set of non-spinoff games and had almost all of my favorite pokemon in it.

In order for me it's Gen 3-Gen 4-Gen 2-Gen 1-Gen 5
Not the biggest fan of Black/White although I do still enjoy them.

For me, I can't really decide.
I say Gen one for the beginning of fun and a good start to the franchise.
I say Gen two for the expansion of two regions and staying so unique.
I have to say, Gen three had me loving the franchise. I loved the Pokemon in that Gen (most of the Pokemon I like are from that as others didn't offer much).The plot was interesting as it involves two teams. And this Gen had me and my friends playing competitively (yep, I started competitive battling then).
I didn't like Gen four too much out of all of them. Really, I only like some Pokemon (Darkrai being one of four). The music seemed somewhat bland. And the story (although was good) was the only thing I really liked from Platinum, but in Diamond and Pearl, I really didn't like it much at that current state.
I say Gen five really made me like Pokemon so much more. The designs of most of them were awesome to me (of course some were spine chillingly creepy and dual (looking at you human tadpole face...) at least to me). The music was great in my opinion. And the story was in my opinion the best out of every other Gen in my opinion.
Out of the things I said... I would put it as:
Gen 3 & 5 for best.
Gen 1 & 2 for unique.
Gen 4 is rather dual.
I can't choose between Gen 3 and 5... T_T

I like 3, 4 and 5. I dont really like 1 and 2, the regions were too bland whereas later gens were more interesting.
