Then I think websites/people just use one or the other. I don't know if there is a correct one. Day/Month/Year makes more sense though.

In some places (for instance where I live Australia) It's Day/Month/Year I know in places like America (don't shoot me if i'm wrong) it's Month/Day/Year
It's the whole kilometres/miles thing, or cm/inches... It depends on where you live really.
