Roleplay test gogo

At the center of the city of Nix lies an ancient mansion, said to have been there for generations. It is a massive structure, so full of twists turns, secret doors, false walls, corridors and doors that lead nowhere, and inaccessible rooms, it's enough to drive someone insane.
If everything else in the mansion doesn't.
The place is said to be haunted by spirits of our darkest desires, and that they will stop at nothing to send someone off the brink of insanity. Most who have entered have returned, but shattered...Nothing but a husk of what they once were. They babble mindlessly about shadows and how their mind was "freed." This dark secret has haunted Nix for years, and finally, someone has decided to do something about it.
An elderly man who goes by the name of Clock Barrows has sent out a call through the city to anyone who would dare venture into it. He offers to go with them, so they will find what the mansion's darkness truly is. Oddly, his call does not discriminate between age or experience. Anyone, from a teenager to a seventy year old war veteran is welcome to come.
However, at this time, all is not right with Nix. There have been a series of disappearances through out the city, and even a number of murders. No one knows where the missing people have gone, but rumors say the mansion has a mind of it's own and is no longer content with the stray person wandering in. There have been night sightings of people with blank expressions wandering toward the center of Nix...
What is the mansion's secret? Who exactly is the enigmatic Clock Barrows?
Maybe you'll find out--If you manage to free your mind.

Technology and era:
Free the Mind takes place in a roughly earth like world. Mostly, the world is irrelevant, so I won't detail it here. The technology in Free the Mind isn't that advanced. Around 1800s in most things. Computers have barely been touched, and robots are an unknown concept. The most advanced weaponry is a handheld gun called in slang the silverslinger, due to the silver color of the metal used as bullets. A silverslinger is a primitive revolver with a large backlash, but fairly powerful shots. It stores three bullets at a time, but reloading after firing all three is difficult. There is a rifle version, but it has little advantage over the pistol. However, these guns are expensive, so swords and occasionally bows are still viable weapons in combat. Most people in big cities own a sword, and richer people own at least one gun.

The districts of Nix:

District of Residence
The District of Residence lies in the south of Nix. It's where almost everyone's houses are. Pretty much.

District of Commerce
The District of Commerce is the mercantile district, containing most shops, restaurants, etc.

District of Making
The District of Making is where the few factories in Nix are. It is the second smallest district.

District of Night
The District of Night is in the center of Nix, and is where all the important buildings like town halls and such are. The mansion lies at it's center.

Vansalon:

Name: Vance Serrades
Age: 17
Appearance: Vance is a little taller than average, with short, sort of spiky black hair. He has blue eyes, and a sly expression, usually. He wears blue outfits, usually, and occasionally black.
Personality: Vance is mischievous and clever. He's always cooking up something, usually harmless. He is fiercely loyal to his friends, and will usually plague those who harm them in anyway endlessly. He has an angry side however. If someone actually hurts one of his friends, he'll almost go berserk. He has knocked people out on several occasions, and once happened to be carrying a knife and could have seriously injured someone had his best friend not intervened. His goal is to be a soldier, but he'll settle for local police.
Backstory: Vance's mother died giving birth to him, and his father was one of those to venture into the mansion, when he was only seven. His father was broken utterly by the visit, and now lives in a special home for those with mental illnesses. Vance hides his pain at the loss of his parents with jokes and smiles, but he eventually opens up to his closest friends. His grandfather David takes care of him now. David is moderately wealthy, so Vance knows how to shoot a silverslinger, and owns one. He is also moderately proficient with swords and especially knives, fencing and knife throwing being hobbies of his. When he heard of Clock Barrow's proposal, he answered almost immediately. He has always had a passion about the mansion do to what happened to his father.
Method of arrival: He was hired by Clock Barrows.
Other Notes:

Name: David Leliand
Age: 65
Appearance: David is a little tall, with the faintest wisp of white hair on his head. He has perpetually grumpy brown eyes. He wears stylish plaid clothing.
Personality: David is the archetypal grumpy grandfather, disagreeing with what everyone says and always talking about his days in the war. He is somewhat forgetful. He thinks the new generation of whippersnappers has it too easy. However, he learned loyalty from war, and will put aside his grumpiness when things need to be done.
Backstory: David has fought in two wars. In the first one, he was a sniper, using a bow. He fought as heavy infantry in his second war. He is an excellent shot with a bow, even in old age, though his swordplay is shaky. He sometimes used firearms in the second war, and is fairly proficient with them. He settled down to a life in Nix when his fighting days were over, and became fairly wealthy. His grandson, Vance, lives with him due to Vance's essentially being an orphan, with one dead parent and one insane.
Method of arrival: He was one of the first to respond to Clock's call, with Vance.
Other Notes:

Name: Airiahna Elsis (Pronounced Aye-Ree-Ah-nah)
Age: 16
Appearance: Airiahna is of average height. She has gentle green eyes and brown hair streaked with blond. Her hair is long, falling a good ways down her back, and is generally carefully brushed. She wears plain pants, a white shirt, and green jacket, usually.
Personality: Airiahna is hemophobic and gentle to a fault. She absolutely cannot stand the sight of blood, even if it's only a minor scratch, and large amounts of it will very easily cause her to faint. She can't stand the thought of bladed weapons, and can't understand why anyone would use them. She is generally loyal to her friends, but being an easy target for bullies, they are fairly often defending her.
Backstory: Airahna is a fairly normal teenager living in Nix. her father runs a mechanic shop, and her mother is a librarian. Her older sister was one of the few to never return from venturing into the mansion. She has nightmares about what could have happened to her. The mansion has always been a source of curiosity for her, however, and more than once she has almost entered it, but stopped herself. She dreams of what could happen in there, and so regularly has nightmares, but feels compelled to enter the mansion all the same, partially to find out what happened to her sister. Two days ago, she was one of those who disappeared.
Method of arrival: She was "taken" to the mansion.

Bad Luck Jakler:

Name: Paul Reznik
Age: 17
Appearance: Of average height, with unnatural gray hair that he has had since birth. The reason why is a mystery to everyone. He usually wears jeans or khakis, but will sometimes wear sweat pants if he's too lazy to pick out a proper outfit for the day. He also wears his trademark red hoodie and his white sneakers with navy blue stripes.
Personality: He tends to be a very quiet and lonely person who distances himself form other people. He lost his best friend a few months ago to the mansion, and it really hit him hard, sending him into a spiraling depression. The friend he had lost was pretty much the only friend he could really trsut, and when he lost that friend, he never talked to anyone unless necessary. He is usually calm and collected.
Backstory: His parents moved him around a lot when he was a kid, so he didn't develop any social skills until they decided to settle down in Nix, where he met his best friend. His parents are never home either as his mom is a full time doctor and his dad is helping investigate the mystery of the mansion from the outside.
Method of arrival: Was hired by Clock Barrows, and also wants to find his friend, whether they're dead, alive or worse, he just needs closure.

Alright, and the grey hair isn't that big of a deal. It's not gonna be some huge plot twist or anything, I just wanted to make him have grey hair c:
