Hellofalotta Dark Types
«

Me and my friends are going to train some Pokemon for a Single Type Mini-Tournament. We all chose a single type to focus on for our teams, and since most of my favorite types had been chosen, I decided to make a Dark Type team, since I'd be going up against a Psychic team and a Ghost team.
So I've gotten the members for my team, and since Dark types tend to be offensive rather than defensive (for the most part), I tried to get make a good enough team with the Pokemon I can choose. MY team consists of:
Physical Attacker Tyranitar
Pickpocket Weavile
Physical Tank Scrafty
Standard Bisharp
Special Attacker Hydreigon
and Special Attacker Zoroark
Now I know this isn't an ideal team, but with the resources I got I think it's pretty decent. If there's anything I should do to fix this, please tell me. Thank you.

Can you tell us the moves and any other details about the Pokémon. Just what the Pokémon is isn't really enough information since two sets on the same mon can still be very different.

I wouldn't go with a type themed team unless you are a gym leader in game. I am right to assume that you are not one? If you use that online, my Pinsir will kill every single last one of your pokemon. Its not worth making the team unless you have a lot of time on your hands (or go on a battle simulator).

What on Earth is with all the random Protect? Is this for a Double Battle?

This is for a single type tournament he said, not general battles.

Yeah Protect isn't the best to have everywhere, it kind of wastes a turn for things.

No, I'm not going to use this team online, but I'll have 1 of them alternate on my real team. This team is in no way for an official Tournament, it's just a fun test that me and my friends are doing, nothing more.
Also, what can I replace for Protect, and on what Pokes can I keep it for?
EDIT: I'm also not allowed a wild card unfortunately. :/

I think I'll have Scrafty learn Rock Slide instead of Detect
I'll replace Zoroark's with Grass Knot
But I'll keep Protect on Tyranitar, just in case the Psychic user pulls out a Gallade or Medicham.
Any thing else I should consider doing?

Tyranitar
Crunch
Rock Slide
Low Kick
Protect
Try Thunder Wave
Sand Stream/ 252 Hp, 252 Atk, 4 SpD/ Chople Berry
Bisharp
Sucker Punch
Night Slash
Iron Head
Protect
Swords Dance and you probably need Substitute to set up, you can take out Night Slash since behind a Sub, your opponent is more likely to attack to break it.
Defiant/ 252 Hp, 252 Atk, 4 Def/ Dark Gem
Zoroark
Dark Pulse
Flamethrower
Focus Blast
Protect
Grass Knot is good
4 Hp, 252 SpA, 252 Spe/ Focus Sash
Weavile
Fake Out
Why do people still use Fake Out on Weavile? It's horribly weak, and Focus Sash usage is way down. Run both Ice Shard and Ice Punch and use Expert Belt.
Ice Punch/ Shard (don't know which to pick :/)
Night Slash
Low Kick
Pickpocket/ 4 Hp, 252 Atk, 252 Spe/ Expert Belt or Focus Sash
Hydreigon
Dragon Pulse
Dark Pulse
Flamethrower
Protect
Needs Earth Power or Focus Blast
Life Orb/ 4 Hp, 252 SpA, 252 Spe
Scrafty
Fake Out
Unless you are in a double battle, Fake Out is never a good option except on Ambipom and Regen Mienshao. For Scrafty, use Bulk Up.
Drain Punch
Crunch
Detect
Ice Punch
Moxie/ 252 Hp, 252 Atk, 4 Def/ Chople Berry

You're welcome, if you still need to tweak your team and add something as a supporter, Spiritomb and Sableye make great options.

Actually I could use some help wrapping me head around IVs before I get to breeding and training these guys. I heard that Dittos are the best choice for passing down IVs, but I assume it'll take a while for me to find the perfect one for each stat? Also, what's this RNG I keep hearing about? I know I can google it, but I want to hear it from you guys. :/

Even a link to an Updated Guide for B2/W2 would be fine, I just need to know what I'm doing...
