I loved all the Hoenn starters a lot, definitely the most balanced and awesome generation for starters.  Torchic is my favourite though, it was my first mon and I loved Blaziken and they are both up there as some of my favourites.

Tough choice, Gen 3 has the best starters in my opinion. I'd say it's probably torchic, because it's the first one I picked, and blaziken is a furious mother clucking chicken.

Hoenn starters were definitely my favorite. Hoenn in general may be my favorite region/generation all together in fact. But I can't choose between Swampert and Blaziken honestly xP >.<

Mudkip. I leik them.
Mudkip was my first starter in gen 3 and Swampert was the first pokemon I actually got past level 40
