I'm gonna be optimistic. Sure Daredevil was a weak film but that was more the writing as opposed to the main actors. If the writing is at least as decent as Man of Steel had, then it can work (and people generally say Affleck has improved in the last five years) and hopefully he can play opposite Cavill well and be a good draw to lead up to the much wanted (and if I may say needed!) Justice League movie.

Daredevil was just a big baww.
Everyone dies and Matt is just left alone in his agony.
Even Stan said the Daredevil movie was his biggest disappointment!
But I believe Affleck is good.
