Even though I haven't been here long, thanks for the great site Jcbklyn707! It's a shame to, since x and y just came out and I was ready to post like crazy Sad. What is this lodicam site though?
It is the website we used before we made Evionet. Join us over here, and feel free to remake topics if you see fit:

Life is a series of events, and we must go with the flow rather than try to explain what we cannot.
When Aryeh decided not to talk to half the people in here, he wanted us all to respect his decision and let go. Now, do the same. Let go.
The transition has gone way better than I thought, I expected us to lose a lot of members in the process, but that didn't happen. And as we have Justin's blessing, let's consider this as him appointing two new admins instead of himself. So be glad with what you have.

Ok, I just think it's a shame to let the forum die like this.
It's also a shame having to do something when you don't feel like it, especially when you don't get anything from it.

Join us anytime on Ludicom! Thanks for making Evionet and thus preserving the community for the past two years Smiley.
6  Information Center / Introductions & Farewells / Re: General Intro/Leave of Absence Thread on: October 10, 2013, 02:30:59 pm
Has it always been like this? Purely drama? Or has there been some active Pokemon playing too?
Don't take me too literally lol. We've been in the same community for more than 5 years, and changed forums twice, due to admin inactivity and due to the second forum, Ludicom, being shut down prematurely.
We used to all play Pokemon, trading and battling is what once brought us together. We must have been 10 times more in numbers back in the day. We had a lot of spriters, active Roleplays, Pokemon shops... we had our forum currency, and all was for the best. But then things happened.

You'll notice that in here, we consider scratches like gaping wounds, and a disagreement as betrayal. We're all friends here, but as we overreact to anything, we spend half our time not talking to one-another, until we realize that the argument was stupid in the first place.
Over and over and over again.

This makes us pretty interesting and funny actually, and don't get me wrong, we often have great conversations together.
I realize that I've spent the quarter of my life with this community, and honestly I wouldn't trade it with any other.

Our biggest problem is that we scare new members I guess xD

Actually I have been clearing out tons and tons of outdated topics from 2011, and creating new ones.
I have been trying to create much new content and flushing out old content.

Just saying, I'm going to try to make Ludicom full of content.
So I've seen.
By the way, congrats for being the new co-admin! By the time I posted my last message here, I hadn't yet read the update on Ludicom. The result is exactly what my vote would have been had I voted, but I refrained from doing it because Aryeh and you are the people I know the best, and perhaps that I'm not giving enough thoughts to other people who have been equally devoted.
Let me know if I can do something.
By the way, I still don't like how everything is organized lol, not many discussions on Site Discussion section of Ludicom so except by reading stuff in here or skimming through both ToT's, we can't know what is happening really.

Hello! I have been looking for a forum for a while now and I thought I would try a few places out. Not sure if I'll stay but I should at least say hi. Smiley So far I have browsed and it seems like a lot of drama but I will stick around till it all clears out. Hope to play some Pokemon with you all soon!
Hi, nice to meet you! Aperl/Rosim/Simon, at your service Smiley.
We're a bunch of dramatic people, but don't worry we don't bite. Unless you're a PokéBlock, but it doesn't look like it.

I was going to advertise on reddit, but I didn't because JCB kept the front page unupdated, and it looked very bad.
The 2 year thing you have to look twice at, almost.
The unupdated first page was immeditely obvious. Our newest news was "New Mewtwo Forme". That's almost a year old.

I'm posting in the pokemon threads on ludicom. Or we could just lie, get rid of the old posts, and say we refreshed ludicom for X & Y. These things are easy to cover up.

I'm willing to stay on Evionet and advertise for it if JCB actually bothered returning and discussing this peacefully.
But for now, Ludicom is much more active than Evionet, some activity is better than none, even if its just short-term
Then you did nothing, and for all those years you tried to get us to post more to attract new members? There's a pattern here I can't seem to understand...

But now that the website is there and that there is an active admin willing to help, why do you still concentrate your mind on selecting a second admin when the most useful thing to do would be to come up with fresh news. From the beginning, you've only been focusing on the body, not the brain. Changing the look, the URL, the name (remember Sendoff Spring?), that is what requires admin rights. And honestly, that's not important at all. People don't want the looks. They want the content. I remember when Ludicom was created, I helped Jcb and Aryeh with a Pokédex, I programmed stuff to generate tables about them, etc.
Kloud is there and active, why not send her stuff to post rather than just wait for her to choose an admin or two and then only start the progress?
If we can manage to organize a "quest" of some sort, a common goal where every one of us could contribute in our own way, the time we want, then it could make us more bonded and if it was to work, we could then see that Ludicom is the most viable option.
We need to be convinced, not that the community needs more people to lead, but that it needs more people to do stuff.

It seems all we want to do here is discuss, but you know very well that I'm the best bullsh*tter here and that I'm stubborn as hell, so you can't win this Wink (Even though I'm on your side to a certain extent lol)

new host
new admins that will hopefully be active

im gonna bring new people using advertising.

your choice if you wanna stay here or go there, if it makes no difference may as well go there, more people there currently
Didn't you advertise before without success? If not, why did you not?
What makes you think that a lurker will be more interested in a forum which has had a two-year lapse of inactivity and started a week a go, versus another, that has recent topics, and that has been active for the past two years?
Seeing as there are tons of Pokemon websites, how do you plan to attract people in a forum where the main focus is the Thread of Topiclessness.

I don't like that we're taking so much energy to divide ourselves at the exact moment where we ought to be working together to build interesting X and Y news releases and activity.
11  Information Center / Site Discussion / Re: How Do You Feel? [Ludicom? Kloud?] on: October 08, 2013, 08:51:37 pm
Seriously who gives a flying fuuck!?!?!

There is absolutely no point in having two forums with the exact same people on it! This is petty bullshiit in every shape and form!!

I am so so happy that I managed to mature away from this shiit when I had the chance! Just be on one fuucking forum, post about ur social stuff and pokemon and whatever u want and live your lives!!

Kloud "coming back" and rejoining herself means ****, and I don't see why it's a big fuucking deal to the point where she needs to remake her forum. Just fuucking join this forum and talk and socialize and live with it.. Honestly it's been what? 5 or 6 years since I joined PPN and this immaturity hasn't changed a bit..

I'm glad I only really use this to discuss pokemon and sometimes social, or else Idno where I would be in my everyday lifestyle if I was so involved in this forum still...

This is not targeting any single person, but I'm addressing all of it.. This is coming from someone who you all know or knew for many years, so think about it..
I didn't expect that at all lol. But +1. Multiple times.
12  General Boards / Social / Re: Which website? (All members please vote) on: October 07, 2013, 10:32:09 pm
There are too many ways to look at this, and I'm doing my best to follow 5 conversations at once.

But I also want to point out something else.

People are all happy, Breloom is back, Silver is back, happy Daniel, numerous other ones. But why? For a green forum that has the same structure as Evionet? I don't think so. Because they did not know about Evionet? Impossible.
Kloud is back. Kloud the mod from PPN. Kloud our friend. Kloud who created Ludicom with a blink of an eye (and shut it down as quickly ironically).
Nobody really cares about the forum in itself. The thing with LCom versus Evio is that Kloud is active (well how can we judge in a couple of hours) and willing to share the admin rights so that something else can be in charge in case an admin is overwhelmed with whatever.
But I don't think Silver came back because of the possibility of changing the domain, adding boards and stuff.
I truly think that there are great speakers (Jcb, Steel, and I'll add myself to the lot), and there are great doers (honestly I think that part was a bit underlooked after Darkness Unleashed, Richie625 and Kloud). Richie625 has been back with spriting, but for the rest, life took its natural course. Darkness Unleashed is off in the wild, Arceus guard his soul, and perhaps has he been among us secretly all these years (well one can hope...).
Now that Kloud is back, it feels like the world is turning again, that new members will magically appear and that all the old members will come back.

But was this all just what we were waiting for? Kloud? I mean, our life is fulfilled, activity is back to what it was, yada yada yada...?
She knows about Evionet, most of the members who just came back from the Facebook mass post have accounts in there. Why didn't she come back in here rather than fetch the shipwreck from the sea and reopen it to the public? If she had done it, would life have been all sad just like it was yesterday? Did we really need the dancing Ludicolo to smile?
If Kloud had made an account here before reopening LCom, would we have been tempted to move there anyway?

Evionet has been our place for two years, created by and for us (well exclude me, I wasn't there at that time). There are not many discussions in here, what makes us believe that there will be more over there? I don't think Kloud was planning on spending her entire days building a Pokédex of the X&Y Pokémon, or doing anything specific in that regard. I mean, this is a community-based forum, not an admin-based forum. If we had nothing to say in here, then why are we so enticed to move to a place where we would have the same discussions?

We've all lost friends since we came here. Some left, and others stayed. Conflicts began, not everyone is talking to everyone now. But will a new URL change this? Will we all become friends over the night and wake up after this blue nightmare in green heaven?
I don't have any answers, just questions. And it's all a matter of personal view.
As I said, I'll follow the group.
And I write too much.

This is too sudden, our minds are klouded Tongue
13  Information Center / Site Discussion / Re: How Do You Feel? [Ludicom? Kloud?] on: October 07, 2013, 07:25:46 pm
I agree with both sides. Tough decision.

As I pointed out to Steel on Facebook:
"It's just that all this just happened in a couple of hours, and already we're ready to pack our stuff and leave just because Kloud and Kinfin appeared out of the blue saying sorry."

It doesn't mean that I'm against it, nor for it. It's just... prematurate...

But whatever we choose, everyone should follow. Because if we divide ourselves, we'll have two half forums, and well, you know what they say, Divide and Conquer.
14  General Boards / Social / Re: Thread of Topiclessness [Current Era: It's a me! Waaaaluigi] on: October 07, 2013, 01:08:49 am
Lol guys if you want to talk about activity boosts due to X and Y, do it out of the ToT because hardly anyone will see them.
I don't know what we can do really, if we start a new forum nobody will join because hey, who wants to join a forum that just began? And here, well it's just okay, but borderline okay.

I have a suggestion for Twitter, but I don't see how we can manage to do this so quickly. We could write a whole lot of Twitter posts, and with a Java library that I've used in the past, automatically post a status every two hours or so, that way the account will seem to be very active.
The only problem is coming up with all these posts... :/
15  General Boards / Gaming General / Re: Terraria on: October 06, 2013, 03:32:12 pm
Terraria 1.2. is awesome.

I created two maps and played for days, at Medium core, and in both games, I ended up falling into lava and losing all my items. So many gemstones, so many rare items found in chest, a Demonite sword... All gone forever.
I don't really feel like playing anymore...

I stopped Minecraft for the same reason... Now, softcore only.
