I've got one pure breed jack russel (his black not brown like most) which is a few years old now, then a labrador/german shepered/border colley which is just over a year old.

I had a small red salamander once and then 2 small turtles.
It's cute and awesome.
One of the turtles died in a stupid way though.
It burrowed itself under a rock in the aquarium and the rock fell... :/

Atm, I have a cat and a dog. The classic.

Well when I was little I watched some movie with dogs (they had a few movies along the same line) and one of the dogs was called Buddy, since then I always wanted to call my dog buddy, so yadidadda when we got a dog (like years after) we decided to call it Buddy (that's the little one), the bigger one my mum wanted to buy (we got it off my friend as their dog was pregnant).  I didn't really care so much of what they called it and they decided to call it Emma.

I've only ever had a few fish. In my old apartment I had a tamed piranha.
My mom dislikes cats and dogs, and she says birds are annoying.
She also hates any rodent, hamster ect. she finds them disgusting and if she found a rat/mouse in our house she'd move out.

Sad to hear, I lost my old dog a few months before I joined PPN, I grew up with him.

@Mag: XD My cat does the same thing on the arm rest. And my dog and cat would never get close like that, my dogs too playful so he tries to play with my cat, but my she just hisses and swipes at him.

i've lived with cats my whole life, but i like dogs more and wish that i had one. i want to get either a doberman, rottweiler, or saint bernard.

Those breeds are banned in many states/cities because of how dangerous they are, and then you HAVE to have insurance for them, which costs almost as much as a small studio apartment does, and then the food and then no one will come near you once they find out what breed it is, and people will call the police on you saying yoru dog is trying to attack them even though it isnt so they can have it taken away. ;-;

my friend has a rottweiler and he's one of the sweetest dogs i've met. none of those dog breeds are necessarily dangerous, they're just used most often in dogfighting rings and by people that use dogs to hurt other people because they're bigger, stronger breeds and that's given them a bad image. they all have the same temperament as any other breed of dog unless they're treated to act otherwise. in terms of how often they bite, smaller dogs are actually more dangerous than these bigger dogs. there's no such thing as a bad dog, only bad owners; it all comes down to how you treat them.

They were bread to be fighting/attack dogs, it's in their nature to be somewhat violent. Sure they can be sweet animals like any other, they just have a higher risk of injury to others because they get overprotective or angry. It's like how golden retrievers have a thing with sticks and playing fetch, they were bread to like them. :x

Bred is the Noun/Adjective (Depending on how it's used) (ex: "This dog is purebred")

I will be hosting a cat starting in about four weeks. My friend is going to an internship in Cali, and I will take care of his cute little kitteh for approximately 4 months.
I can't wait!
However, my mother is allergic. But she said it's okay. Worst case scenario I would go to my grandma's with the cat. She loves cats as well.

Otherwise, as pets I would personally like to have a skunk, of course with its protective glands taken out. Because skunks are apparently amazing pets, and they're so cute as well, except when they pee on you ^^.
A raccoon would be awesome as well. Or a tiger. But I'm dreaming out loud. And I'm not Usain Bolt with his Jaguar kitteh...

Bath it every week to keep the saliva from building up on the fur. People allergic to cats tend to be allergic to a compound in the saliva, not the cat itself, and since cats clean themselves, it gets in the first, and the fur get everywhere, so if you clean it once a week, it should help with the allergies.

Don't forget to clean it's litterbox and watch it's diet, the feeding dose on the bags isnt always right and you need to make sure you give it the right amount, so if it loses weight, feed it more, or if it gains, feed it less. Also, post pics of cat when you get it~ :3


I dun use bred much, mostly breed ._.

i'm not the only person that wants a raccoon as a pet ;u;
i also want a fox or a jerboa. foxes and jerboas are qts. fat chance of me ever getting either though, i don't even know where i would be able to buy a jerboa.

Gonna quote this again, if you want  tiger, look into the cat breed called toyger, they were bred to look like tigers, but be domesticated like a cat. they cost anywhere from 1500-5000+ dollars because most of the money goes into tiger conservation funds.

Or if you want a cheetah, get the cat breed called Cheetoh, they can run up to 30MPH and are energetic kitties~

While I think theyre cool, I dont really want something that belongs in a cage, or is so small I run the risk of stepping on it so easily like a ferret is. Being tall with feet as wide as helicopter landing pads aint fun ;-;
